Frequently Asked Questions

What is Tattoo Removal?

You no longer need to hide your unwanted tattoo. A laser tattoo removal treatment work by targeting the ink pigments and breaking it up into tiny fragments in order for your body to eliminate through the lymphatic system.  Tattoo ink comes in different qualities and is heavily deposited into your skin. As a result, multiple sessions are required.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments required for optimal results depends on the size, location, depth and colour of the tattoo. Treatments should be performed 4-8 weeks apart to give time for your body to remove the tattoo ink fragments.  After each session, you will notice your tattoo lightening.

What to expect during your treatment?

Some people describe this treatment as a snap of a rubber band on the skin or a prickling feeling. To ensure your comfort, we use a numbing cream. Once you feel that the area is numbed, treatment will commence. You will be given an ice gel pack to keep your skin comfortable.

Will the tattoo be completely removed?

Tattoos vary in the type of ink used, colour, and depth of application. In addition, the location of the tattoo on your body can make a difference. Some tattoos are completely eliminated while others are significantly lightened. Our experienced medical aesthetician will analyze your tattoo and let you know what type of results to expect.
