Vampire PRP Facial®

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Vampire PRP Facial®

The Vampire PRP Facial® is offered at OVO Medi Spa, Vancouver and is a licensed trademark procedure developed by the Cellular Medicine Association. These patented procedures follow strict safety protocol and use Health Canada approved equipment.

If your skin is looking dull and rough, or you have acne scarring, The Vampire Facial® is the natural solution to repairing damaged skin. Your platelets contain growth factors that can regenerate healthy tissues, tighten skin, and smooth out any uneven skin tone and texture.

Why do I need a Vampire Facial?

This treatment is highly effective for treating scars, fine lines, laxity, and uneven skin tone and texture. It gives you a natural, luminous, rejuvenated look.

How soon will I see results?

It will take a few weeks for your body to reproduce growth factors and to repair tissues. Over time, you will see increased volume and a radiant glow to your skin.

How long does it last?

The results can last up to 12 months with a series of 3 treatments, depending on the quality of your skin and your lifestyle habits. An older person will require more treatments than a younger person because there is less collagen in the tissues.

How many treatments will I need?

We suggest a series of 3 treatments for your body to regenerate a good number of new growth factors.

How do I prepare for a Vampire Facial?

To avoid bruising and swelling:

  • A week before your procedure, avoid using NSAID blood thinners such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Motrin, and Advil.
  • A week before your procedure, avoid fish oil, vitamin E, vitamin A, ginseng, St. John’s wort, and gingko biloba.
  • 48 hours before your procedure, avoid alcohol.

Is there any downtime?

Like any other injections, you may experience minor redness, bruising, or swelling.

For 3 days after the injection:

  • Avoid sleeping on your face.
  • Avoid rubbing on the injection site.
  • Avoid NSAID medication, supplements, and alcohol.
  • Avoid excessive heat.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise until skin has healed completely.

Is the Vampire PRP Facial safe?
